Every painter loves New England’s towns of well-tended historic houses with surprises hidden in salty history.  Rounding a corner, I came upon this in my mind’s eye: a red room demanding a closer look.   A little quirky with an elegance all its own, juxtaposed jigsaw-style as it waits for its Captain to return home.
