A native Manhattanite, Fred Mittleman’s art focus began early, studying at the High School of Music and Art and Brooklyn College of Art with internationally known art influencers.  From there after holding senior positions at leading New York design firms, it was only a matter of time before he founded Frederick Mittleman Designs, later Mittleman/Robinson.

Decades of award-winning *** and leading edge design in a wide range of disciplines followed, including containers and branding identities for top-tier beverage, food and other consumer products.  Among them: Dom Perignon, Johnnie Walker Black, Gatorade, Maxwell House Master’s Collection, Budweiser, Tanqueray, Chivas Regal, Harley Davidson and numerous others.

Always a curator of the unique and thought-provoking, today Mittleman expresses his passion for the visual through interpretive paintings of the world around him.  His subjects range from stilllife and animal portraits to iconic fashion to “nature portraits”
inspired by the beauty of the Hudson Valley’s parklike setting,
where he currently lives with his wife and a collection of
favorite things.
